This Privacy Policy explains how Jingtao Yang, an individual developer operating as a sole proprietor (“Developer,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), handles information in connection with the Container Master mobile application.
We have designed Container Master to collect as little information as possible. The App has no user accounts, no servers, and no backend. All of the records you create in the App are stored only on your own device, and we cannot see them. The only information that ever reaches us is what you choose to send us through the App’s optional Feedback feature.
This Privacy Policy applies to the App only. It forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Use.
This Privacy Policy is drafted in English, which is the governing language. Any translation provided is for convenience only; in the event of any conflict, the English version prevails.
By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

The substantive information you enter into the App — including buyer and supplier names, company names, container numbers, order numbers, dates, log and cargo details, quantities, and any files you generate — is written to a local database on your device.
This information is not transmitted to us. We do not host it, cannot access it, do not receive a copy of it, and have no ability to recover it. It never leaves your device unless you choose to share it yourself using the export and sharing features described in Section 7.
Important: because this data exists only on your device, deleting the App, resetting or replacing your device, or a device failure will permanently erase it, and we cannot restore it. Please refer to our Terms of Use and back up your records regularly by exporting them.
The App includes an optional Feedback feature. We receive information only if you choose to use it. If you never submit feedback, we receive nothing at all.
When you submit feedback, the following is transmitted to us:
| Category | Details | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Feedback category | The type you select (for example, Bug Report, Feature Request, or General Feedback) | Selected by you |
| Your message | The free-text content you write | Written by you |
| Technical device information | Device model, operating-system version, App version, and device language | Collected automatically by the App at the moment of submission |
| Email address (optional) | Your email address, entered in the dedicated optional field in the Feedback form. If provided, it is submitted to the Developer. After a successful submission, the App may also save it locally on your device to pre-fill the field in future feedback submissions, but only if no email address is already saved in your local profile. It is not transmitted anywhere else. | Provided by you |
The technical device information is added automatically so that we can reproduce and diagnose problems on the correct device and software version. It does not include your name, your device’s assigned name, your advertising identifier, your precise or approximate location, your contacts, your photos, or any of the records you have entered into the App.
We use feedback information solely to:
We do not use feedback information for advertising, profiling, automated decision-making, or any purpose unrelated to supporting and improving the App.
Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation applies, we rely on the following legal bases:
Feedback submitted through the App is transmitted over an encrypted HTTPS connection to a Google Form operated by the Developer, and is stored in the associated Google account.
In this arrangement, Google LLC acts as a data processor on our behalf and stores the submitted content on its infrastructure, which may be located in the United States or in other countries where Google operates. Google’s handling of that data is governed by Google’s own privacy terms, available at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
We use Google Forms solely as a means of receiving feedback messages. We do not use Google Analytics, Google advertising services, Firebase, or any other Google product inside the App.
Apart from Google in this limited capacity, we do not share your information with any third party. We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise disclose your information for any commercial purpose. We may disclose information only if required to do so by law, court order, or other valid legal process.
For clarity, the App does not collect, access, request, or transmit any of the following:
The App contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs, no crash-reporting SDKs, and no social-media SDKs.
The App can export your records as spreadsheet (.xlsx) and portable document (.pdf) files. These files are generated locally on your device and are not sent to us.
If you choose to share an exported file, the App uses Apple’s built-in system sharing interface. You may then send the file to other applications or services on your device — for example, a messaging application, an email client, or a cloud-storage service.
Once you share a file, it leaves the App and passes into the control of the destination application, service, or recipient. We have no control over, no access to, and no responsibility for how that third party stores, transmits, or uses the file. You are responsible for ensuring that you are permitted to share the information contained in any file you send, and for complying with any confidentiality or data-protection obligations that apply to it.
Device information and settings. The App reads non-sensitive device settings — the system time, the system language and region, and basic device and operating-system information — so that dates, text, and layouts display correctly. This is read locally on your device and, except as described in Section 4, is not transmitted anywhere.
Network access. The App is designed to work offline. It uses an internet connection for only two purposes:
All other functions of the App — creating, editing, calculating, and exporting your records — work with no network connection.
We do not track you. The App does not collect data for tracking purposes as defined by Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework. Specifically, the App does not link any data collected from you with third-party data for advertising or measurement purposes, and does not share any data with data brokers. For this reason, the App does not present an App Tracking Transparency prompt.
Records on your device. Your orders, container records, and other App data remain on your device for as long as you keep the App installed. You may delete individual records at any time within the App, and deleting the App removes all of them permanently. This deletion is irreversible and cannot be undone by us.
Feedback data. Feedback submissions, together with the accompanying technical information, are retained by us for a maximum of one (1) year from the date of submission, after which they are deleted. We may retain a submission for longer only where necessary to resolve an ongoing issue you have reported, or where required by law.
Deleting your feedback earlier. You may ask us to delete your feedback submission at any time before the retention period expires by writing to jingtao.wk@gmail.com. Please include enough detail (such as the approximate date of your submission and the content of your message) for us to locate the correct entry. We will respond within 30 days.
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights in respect of the personal information we hold about you — which, in practice, means any feedback submission you have sent us:
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at jingtao.wk@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days. We do not charge a fee for these requests. Because we hold very little information and do not maintain user accounts, we may need you to provide details that allow us to locate your submission; we cannot respond to a request we are unable to match to a record.
Users in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom additionally have the right to lodge a complaint with their local data-protection supervisory authority. Users in Canada may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. Users in California may exercise rights under the CCPA/CPRA; we confirm that we do not and will not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law.
The Developer is based in the Province of British Columbia, Canada. Feedback data is stored by Google on infrastructure that may be located in the United States or in other countries.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with data-transfer restrictions, please be aware that submitting feedback involves transferring your information outside your country of residence to countries that may not provide the same level of data protection as your own. Where such transfers occur, they take place on the basis of your consent and, as regards Google as our processor, under the safeguards Google applies to international transfers, including standard contractual clauses where applicable.
You can avoid any such transfer entirely by not using the Feedback feature; all other functions of the App operate without transmitting any data.
The App is a business record-keeping tool rated 4+ and is available to users of all ages. It contains no objectionable content.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age under the law of the child’s country of residence). The App does not require registration, does not create user profiles, and collects no personal information at all unless a user voluntarily submits feedback.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has submitted personal information to us through the Feedback feature, please contact us at jingtao.wk@gmail.com and we will delete that information promptly.
Feedback is transmitted over an encrypted HTTPS connection and stored in a Google account protected by a password and access controls under the Developer’s exclusive control.
The records you create in the App are stored locally on your device and are protected by your device’s own security features, including your passcode, Face ID or Touch ID, and iOS file-system protections. Because these records never leave your device, keeping your device secure is the most effective protection for them. We recommend that you use a device passcode and keep your operating system up to date.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. While we take reasonable steps to protect the limited information we receive, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date at the top of this document and publish the updated version at https://andrewyang0620.github.io/Container-Master-Privacy/, as well as within the App.
If we make a material change — for example, if we begin collecting a new category of information — we will take reasonable steps to bring it to your attention within the App before the change takes effect. Your continued use of the App after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
